Gustavo Canelon, MD is a Foreign Medical Graduate, who specialized in General Surgery in Venezuela. During his surgical practice, mostly performing trauma and emergency surgery, he contributed in the research and evaluation of surgical outcomes in this subset of patients, and developed, using CDC’s statistical software, tools to track and quantify surgical complications. He migrated to USA in 2001 to continue his surgical formation in Laparoscopic and Colorectal surgery where he was introduced to pharmaceutical sponsored clinical research. After completing his training in 2004 he co-founded International Research Associates, where he is the Chief Operations Officer.
