Luis C. Quintero, MD. Is a Board Certified Endocrinologist and Internal Medicine specialist. Upon completion of his post-graduate studies in Mount Sinai Medical Center, in 1987, he started his endocrinology private practice. Today, over 6000 patients are under his care and is a respected member of the medical community. In 2006, motivated by the limited options of treatment for his diabetic patients, and convinced that better and safer medications were needed, he decided to join the clinical research team of International Research Associates. Since then he has participated as an investigator in over 100 studies in phases 1 through 4 in the areas of diabetes mellitus type 2, diabetes mellitus type 1, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetic and idiopathic gastroparesis, cardiovascular outcomes studies, hypertension, weight loss, chronic kidney disease, COPD, chronic constipation, hypercholesterolemia, dyslipidemia, hypertriglyceridemia, post herpetic neuralgia, osteoarthritis of hip and or knee, postprandial distress syndrome, testosterone replacement therapy, and others.
